jwt
Supported asymmetric algorithms are RS256/384/512, PS256/384/512, ES256/384/512, EdDSA, and Ed25519. Availability still depends on the supported runtime/crypto implementation. Token signatures, issuer, required expiration, optional not-before, audience, and standard claim shapes are checked. Key discovery/rotation caches are internal, not a public key-management API.
useAuth
JwtClaims has required iss: string, aud: string | readonly string[], and exp: number. Optional standard fields are sub, iat, nbf, and jti. Other claims remain unknown through the index signature and require application validation. NumericDate fields are finite; audience arrays contain only strings.
The synchronous accessor requires a matching verified JWT identity. It does not expose a token or refresh/login methods. Missing/mismatched audiences receive safe public resource guidance. Unexpected key/discovery failures are provider outages and remain private in diagnostics.
See the JWT guide and shared auth contracts.
